Strawberry Lemon cupcakes

My husband Lance loves strawberry lemonade. In fact he loves lemonade in general; it’s his go to drink anywhere we go and especially at home. When it came time to select a treat to make for Lance’s birthday, I knew these strawberry lemonade cupcakes would do the trick. I got the Martha Stewart Cupcake cookbook for my birthday so it wasn’t hard to flip through to mix and match a cupcake/frosting combo that would reflect these flavors. I think next time I make this I will use a different lemon cupcake recipe. The frosting was so light airy and the actual cupcake was a little dense. A lighter cupcake would have been a better combo. Either way these were really delicious and didn't last long in our house!
