Peanut Butter Count Chocula Cereal Treats

countchocula2

When I was shopping at Target the other day I came across this little gem – Count Chocula cereal! I couldn’t resist and had to get it, along with some Franken Berry cereal. I remember these cereals from when I was a kid – I don’t remember ever getting it, but I remember wanting it! Does anyone else have any memories of the monster-themed cereals?

I thought that these would make some fun Halloween themed treats – I mean who doesn’t love chocolate cereal with bat shaped marshmallows in it?!? Mixing in some peanut butter turned out to be a fabulous addition – these things are tasty and I think they would be one of those easy treats to bring to share since they only take a few minutes in the microwave. I recommend picking up a box of Count Chocula (or one of the others!) if you see them since they are only around during Halloween!

I added a drizzle of candy melts and some sprinkles (chocolate jimmies and pumpkin shapes) to add a little extra Halloween pizzazz to mine, but feel free to decorate as desired!
